(suffix.)
1. containing a five-part ring, as in ?pyrrole.
2. belonging to the ethers or aldehydes, as in ?anethole. Also, -ol. - ole⇄ole (1), adjective.
(U.S. Informal.) old (used to suggest a nonstandard, especially Southern, pronunciation).
Ex. He looks conservative--""just a good ole country boy,"" as one of his constituents described him (John Fischer). - ole⇄ole (2), interjection.
(Spanish.) a cheer of enthusiasm or approval.
